Lenovo released some brand new products at their tech launch in San Francisco, the Lenovo Yoga 900, and Yoga 900 Home. The Yoga 900 is an upgrade from the Yoga 3 Pro, and the Yoga 900 Home is an upgrade from the previous Lenovo Horizon Series.
Lenovo Yoga 900
Lenovo has done it again, improving their Yoga line, and making it adapt to the user even more. Looking at the exterior of the convertible, you might notice the color-customized hinges. Lenovo has added its colors to match the covers of the laptop. Lenovo also claims that the hinge has been improved for an even better experience.
The main improvements with this laptop is what you can't see. It's what is inside the laptop. Lenovo has drastically improved the internals with this laptop, with a new 2.5Ghz 6th generation Intel i7 processor, which is a major improvement from last years Yoga 3 Pro which only featured a Core M, which was clocked at 1.2Ghz. Even at turbo boost, the new Yoga 900 beats the Yoga 3 Pro. This means better performance, no need for turbo boost during normal usage, which also allows the fans to run slower, and will also reduce thermal throttling with this new CPU. It's amazing that Lenovo was able to fit this inside such a thin design. Lenovo has also included a 16GB option for this laptop, so that you can easily multitask and use multiple programs at once. Battery life has also improved, which the laptop being rated at 9/10 hours, compared to last year's model, which was rated at 7.2 hours.
