The iRobot Roomba 770 is a cool gadget that can take care of your vacuuming. All you need to do is press the clean button, and it goes off cleaning your house! It's very convenient, you don't even need to charge it because it would go back to home base.
User Interface
The interface is pretty easy to use. There are four buttons, dock, spot, clock, schedule, and the big clean button. It's straightforward. Scheduling is a great feature, especially if you don't want it to run when you're home. Dock just sends it to the docking station, and clock changes the time. Lastly, spot is the mode where you can but it on a mess, and it would spiral the area to clean it.

Technology
The robot is pretty smart. It has smart wall-following technology, which cleans the edges of everything, and goes back and forth when it finds a mess. However, if you have a larger house, you should look into the 780, since it has the Virtual lighthouses. I find that the robot would stay in a room for a while, and not clean the others before going back to dock. With the lighthouses, it will avoid doing that. However, the robot would bounce around a lot of the time, not knowing where it was going, taking about 30 minutes to find the dock. It seems random at times, but at others, it would follow the wall, and seems like it knows what is is doing. It speaks out loud to you when there's an issue, and there is a trash bin indicator that will light up when the bin is full. Now, the Neato BotVac uses a laser to scan the room, so it should be better, so that is an option.

Maintenance
I tested and used this robot 2 times, and cleaned the brushes after those two runs. It collects a lot of dust, which is fascinating. However, cleaning the brushes is much harder work, since hair and debris gets clogged in there, and it takes time to pull it out, it's not as easy as emptying the dust bin. It's great that it collects hair, but it would be great if it would of brought the hair over to the dust bin, where I can just dump it out. To clean the brush, you can use the included tool, which does a good job. The Roomba 800 series should help out, since it has tangle free brushes according to iRobot, but you will have to deal with the hefty price tag.

If you are considering getting a robot vacuum, I would suggest getting the 870 or 880, since it has the new AeroForce technology that will solve my issues I had. If you have a big house, then you should look into the 880 since it has the lighthouses which which work better with many rooms. However, honestly, you should also consider looking at Neato's BotVac line of robots, since they do offer better performance, at least according to my research, since it has a better vacuum, and smarter technology.
